“We’ve
got some good news to share with you - Church Farm has recently
been awarded the Countryside Agency’s ‘Eat the
View’ Environmental Award. The prize is for the work
we do in growing and selling organic produce, our seasonal
events, farm parties and educational work. Judges said nice
things about us: ‘Church Farm Organics is an outstanding
example of what can be achieved to reconnect people with
food, farming and the countryside.’ We’re really
pleased.” Steve and Brenda Ledsham, owners of Church
Farm.
Church Farm has collected a host of awards over the last
few years, including Best Organic Farm, Best Farm Shop and

Eat the View Initiative of the Landscape, Access and
Recreation Division of the Countryside Agency aims to
help consumers understand the links between what they
buy, how products are produced and the countryside.
It also seeks to achieve more favourable market conditions
for products that support local distinctiveness , landscape
character and sustainable land management
- Buying
foods locally can save thousands of pounds nationally
in environmental and congestion costs
