Pick Your Own Tree on Saturday 1 December 2007

We often joke that only way to get fresher than a Church Farm cut tree is to cut it yourself. For one day in December you can do just that.

The PYO tree event runs on Saturday 1 December between 12.00 noon - 3.00pm.

You will be taken up the farm on out tractor / trailer to the growing forest where you can select your tree from the ground. It will then be cut for you and transported back to the farm for you to take away and put up in your living room the same day.

Simply turn up on the day, no need to book
Sensible clothing and footwear are a must. This is a real growing forest.
The cost is £3 per person + the cost of the tree
Anyone who sings the lumberjack song may be asked to leave!!

Buying from a tree farm has a number of advantages. The first is freshness. When you see your tree being cut or you cut it yourself at a tree farm, you can be sure you are getting the freshest tree possible. The second advantage is selection. While most farms specialize in only one or two species of tree, the many different shapes and sizes available mean that trees are available to suit almost every taste. Finally, a visit to a tree farm can be a real outing both for you and your family. Many tree farms also have activities like wagon rides which turn buying a Christmas tree from a chore into an event.
